I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions to what rechargable batteries are the best on the market right now. I'm looking for some good AA batteries to use for my Game Boy Advance.

I dont' think you can get them anymore, but Rayovac Renewals were excellent batteries. I haven;t seen them for some time though, and I need some more

I was never a big fan of recharables...don't last very long.

I used to run gas RC cars and needed batteries for the radio control...had niCAD rechargables but dumped them in favor of:

30 (yes 30) pack of walgreens department store AA alkaline batteries for $7.99. Make sure they are alkaline.

I heard Rayovac has this new system that recharges batteries in 1 hour...they claim that the batteries last 7 times longer than alkaline battries?

I have rayovac nickel metal hydride and they work well for my mp3 player. Sure they run out pretty fast, but I just switch batteries every 3 days instead of every week. Saves a lot of money.

Get some Ni-MH (nickel metal hydride) batteries and a Ni-MH charger. The charge lasts longer than the old Ni-Cds, and there's less of that pesky "memory" effect. If you can't let the action stop, buy at least two sets and carry around some Alkalines (non-rechargables) for backup when you travel.

prontospyder:

Those were the rayovac renewals I was talking about in my post. They're hard to find here, Wal-Mart is just about the only place that had them, and I'm not sure they still do. They've beeb around for some time, Jorden used to do promo's for them while he played in the NBA, and then during his first retirement.

Check out the link that mrCide gave you. Excellent place to buy them. I bought the Maha Batteries and a Maha recharger that takes 3 hours to charge. Been very pleased with them.

What if they aren't used much? like once every month or so?
