Well i haven't taken the time to buy a nice set of rechargables for my S1, and have been going through regular Duracells like they're nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice set of rechargables?

any rechargeable NiMH battery will do. Find the highest, yet cheapest rated one you can get. Generally anything above 1850 mAh will be fine.

of course, i'm going to promote Energizer batteries, because my dad works for energizer :D

Winner.

That is, of course, you don't have a custom mfgr battery or 9V*.

* 9V rechargers are either 8.x volts with half the amps of a alki or there are new 9.6v with less than half the amp hrs. Kind of sucks.

i just orderd 12 AA maha 2700mAh batteries and an 8 battery Maha recharger.
$128 for all that but i hear they're worth it.
that thomas distributing has the charger for $69 but for $76 you can get the charger, a carrying bag, extra battery cases, a battery tester, and some power plug adapters.

more important than the batteries is the charger. the lacrosse BC-900 is considered pretty good. a good charger will intelligently charge the batteries to get longer life out of them. the bc-900 brought a set of completely dead batteries back to life in a day or so.
