Folks,
I am using Q9450 and this is my motherboard:

Apparently, it only supports DDR2-800 and up to 8 GB.

I am using 2 slots (1 GB each):

Now I want to buy 2 GB, two units. What do you recommend?

If you're not overclocking the rig, just get some Value RAMs preferably 4GB total including the 2GB you already have. Not too sure what you could do with 6GB of RAM with that machine and it also depends whether your OS is 64bit compatible. I am also wondering if there would be compatibility issues with the Corsair XMS2 working with other RAM types.

Get the cheapest. You'll have no problem even with higher spec RAM DDR2 1066 RAM.

Go to Crucial and find which modules work for your MB...
Buy those DIMMs from Newegg, Amazon or Crucial, whichever is cheapest.
