Best RAM for overclocking on an Asus P4P800 Deluxe?

After much debate and reading I've decided to pick up an Asus P4P800 Deluxe mobo and a P4 2.6C 800FSB CPU soon, and I've been reading the motherboard forum. I had my heart set on the (2x512)Corsair XMS PC3200, then I read that there is some issues with compatibility with dual channel with the XMS 3200. Now I'm confused on which RAM to buy, I was looking at the Kingston Hyper X 3200 because it has pretty loose memory timing, Mushkin Level II Hi Performance PC3200, or does the XMS 3200 work okay with this motherboard. I'm looking to Overclock to at least 3.0Ghz but if I can go a lot farther I might spend the extra money for better RAM like the Corsair XMS PC3500 or Hyper X PC3500. Can someone give me advice?

i believe the corsair memory stuff has been addressed with the new bios...

but you can ask thugs or pastorjay or erikand whatever and all those other p4 peeps...

try also

seems to be the new hang out spot for these p4 freaks 🙂

I have a P4P800 with a 2.6C.

Initially I had 512meg TwinX 3200LL. I was able to run stable at 2-2-2-5 at DDR 400 (using 5:4 multiplier FSB at 250, for 3250MHz). This was in dual channel.

I wanted a gig so I switched the ram to 2 x 512 Corsair XMS 3500C2. These would not run RAS-to-CAS of 2 even at DDR 400. I was able to run 2-3-3-7/2-3-3-6 stable up to 440 DDR, very good.

I wanted fastest timings since I was paying such an obscene amount of money and switched RAM again to TwinX1024-3200LL which I have now. This actually causes a corrupt BIOS if I try to boot with RAS-to-CAS 2. I am going to test 2-3-2-6 tonight and possibly return it and try some OCZ or go back to the 3500. I've been disappointed so far with the prices involved (~$450 CAD for the gig solutions), tempted to just ditch it for cheap ram and run slower timings, it's definetely not worth it from a dollar value point of view but I want max speed 🙂
