Hey guys,

I was wondering what you all thought would be the best triple channel DDR3 RAM for i7-920 on a P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard. I have seen a few recomendations here n there so any reasons why would also be appreciated. I am not planning to overclock so I don't need something that my system wouldnt be using properley.

Thanks guys.

Actually, to rephrase the question...

What RAM should I get if I do NOT plan to overclock?
What speed/voltage?
example: no point in getting 1600 if it can't run at 1600...

Please note: I'm a bit of a n00b and cant seem to find a quick answer ;-)

A-Data isn't an unknow brand at all. They've been around for a long time.
Without going into a full rant, I wouldn't put too much stock in Newegg customer "reviews".

Blain recommended exactly along the lines i would have.

If you don't know what you are doing when it comes to messing around in the BIOS, you should be looking for something that can run @ JEDEC default 1.5v.
DDR3-1066 is your supported speed with OCing out of the picture; high frequency kits are not of use to you.

If you want specific recommendations, post the store where you will be buying from.

Here is another example of a kit i'd suggest though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226040

It's not really accurate to say higher speed kits are "no use to him". Even if he doesn't overclock, he can adjust the memory divider and run the memory at higher speeds, if he so chooses.

I don't advocate running triple-channel; DDR3 above 1333 unless you want to do so for benchmarking purposes. The performance gains would be negligable.

Stick with a DDR3 kit between 1066 and 1333, whatever is a "name-brand" company and is within the JEDEC 1.5v (watch out of the 1.9-2.1v kits).
