I understand that specific makes of RAM may perform better on specific boards, I plan on running an ASUS P5K-C with 2GB of DDR2, and a Core 2 Quad 6600. I likely will not want to nor need to overclock the CPU and RAM anytime soon, but I would like to be able to boost the performance considerably in the future (I.E. CPU at 3.0 Ghz or faster). I need to make sure my choice in RAM will be compatible at this point, and I'm relatively new to overclocking simply because I've never had the need and I've never considered getting parts that are specifically good at overclocking, but it seems to me I can push some extra performance and save some money this way... If I'm flat out wrong let me know.
Thanks in advance for any help.
