I have an Asus P4P800 E Deluxe mobo with 2 x 512MB Crucial Ballistix PC4000/DDR500 ram, Intel Pentium 3.4 GHz Northwood, Antec True Blue 4800, powercolor ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, Windows XP Pro SP1a.
At the moment I have had the ram running at a DRAM Frequency of 500MHz and the CPU External Frequency at 200MHz, with Performance Mode set to Turbo and Memory Acceleration Mode set to "Enabled", timings 2.5-3-3-6. No matter what settings I seem to try with the Crucial Ballistrix I get a "Blue Screen" regularly. I think, after running memtest, that the Crucial Ballistix is what is responsible for the instability in my system.
My question is, what ram would you suggest for the Asus P4P800 E deluxe mobo?
I have read quite a bit about it and it seems it runs best at the following settings, CPU External Frequency 200MHz, DRAM Frequency 400MHz, at timings of 2-2-2-5 with Memory Acceleration Mode Enabled and Performance set to "Turbo".
I was thinking about 2 x 512MB Corsair CMX512-3200C2.
