I want to know what the best RAM possible (compatible) for an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Motherboard. I want like 2 gb running dual channel. Just wondering if you guys had any suggestions. Thanks!

Lets forget money for this decision. I currently have 1 GB of Kingston HyperX PC 3200 ECC/Registered memory and runs poorly with this motherboard. And this RAM cost me upwards of 250$ just for a gig so i thought it would work well, but i guess not.

EEC!?!

That would be why it's slow.

Muskin and G-skillz are the ones i've heard some of the best things about, as well as the more conventional OCZ which has pretty good support availible here (never to be underestimated).

yeah OCZ is what I was gonna go for. That has good compatibility with the motherboard I have?

Judging from your mb choice I'm assuming you're a gamer? I wouldn't go w/ EEC again if that's the case.. - When you say "runs poorly with this motherboard" could you be more specific?

Yeah i am a gamer, yeah i didn't realize at the time of purchase with the ECC (about 2 months ago). I see a lot of chop in BF2.. only 2 maps are playable. I have an amd 4200 x2, ati x800xl, etc.. so it has to be the RAM thats holding me back.

I got the G.Skill ddr400 kit from newegg, and although my kit doesn't pass memtest , everything I have read about this kit has been positive.

I have a set of the mushkin xp4000 (2gb kit) coming and will see how that works with the mobo.

BTW: I also have the a8n premium
