Best RAM choice for extreme P4 OC'ing

I'm buying a P4 2.8 (800 FSB) and I want to overclock the hell out of it. I'm buying an EXOS liquid cooling unit to keep the CPU temps low. I'm also getting an ASUS P4P800 Deluxe mobo.

What is the best RAM for excessively overclocking this system? I only want to spend about $320-ish dollars or so (The equivalent of a matched pair <1 gig total> of Corsair Twinx 3700).

Any advice? Is this corsair RAM my best choice for the mobo/cpu combo? I'll spend a little more $$$ if I have to, but not too much.

Also, power is not an issue. I'm going to get a 550W PSU.

Thanks.

BEST seems to be the OCZ 3700 Gold EL, but its getting tough to find cause most of the ram guys are gearing towards the DDR4000. The link below shows what the OCZ can do get ready for shock time.
:D

Any PC 3500 will do, you can run up to 217FSB 1:1 ratio or go all the way to 250-275 on a 5:4...

:D

EDIT: Save your money, no need for a 550 PSU... a Antec,Sparkle or Enermax 350-400 will do you justice.

Hes getting a 2.8 though I have yet to see many O/C's with a 2.8C to 250-275 FSB, hope he has better luck then I did. Even at 5:4 mine wont boot higher then 235 FSB. :(

Is this because Intel is restricting the FSB speed on their processors, or is it just the nature of the individual 2.8c that doesn't cater to OC'ing well?

Well it seems that the higher multiplier causes the 2.8C not to go as high as the 2.4C or 2.6C, now dont get me wrong the 2.8C can do 3.5 gigs but they dont
seem to do as well as the others.

We can speculate all day as to why they do or dont but you just have to look around its just like the older chips the 1.6C was the O/C king of its days and the 2.0 didnt do as well, once again I think multiplier comes into effect buts thats my opinion.

There are NO gaurantees in O/Cing just cause one chip does one thing doesnt mean another wont do better or worse, you just try it and see.

Corsair PC3700 is slower than PC3200 -3500 due to the very slow timings it has to run. This is true for pretty much all of the PC3700 - 4000 stuff.

True but dont most people still run the better timings? I know alot do with 3700 but havent seen too many do it with the 4000.

Why do they sell those with such relaxed timings anyhow?

Thats the problem. The ram can not run good timings even @ a lower DDR speed. You are stuck with slow timings. IMHO, this type of ram is nothing but a scam. A real waste of $$.

So they make faster ram and then relax the timings and kill your bandwith that makes sense, who in their right mind wants to run CAS3 not to mention the other timings. This just doesnt make sense to me.
