Other than the Need For Speed series? Am burned out on them. Whats the best Rally game or best racer? Is Rallisport Challenge on PC any different then the version on Xbox as I have played through it.
 
V8 Super Car Race driver - a Lan game round Bathurst in 600BHP of Aussie V8 muscle can be very interesting.
 
Grand Prix Legends. 1967 Cars and tracks with lots of add-ons. You will need a Glide wrapper file, available on the net, to use GL, but it's graphics can hold up, and physics model is still one of the very best. Can't beat the sound of a Ferrari flat out going down the Monza pit straight. Check E-bay, out of print for 2 years or more. OD sold this $50 when released game, at $5 bucks a pop a year ago, and E-bay crud may have come down from their $15-20 BS. For something totally different, but fun is INSANE, off road, VW bugs, SUV's, jeeps, trucks, wild buffalos. Should be cheap now, only thing, it is snotty about only having one controller in Win Controller window. You can split the pedal axis, lots of info about that on the net.

But yeah GPL rocks... theres a direct3d patch you can download. I'm still playing it. 🙂
 
it may be a little bit older, but I think 1nsane/Insane is an extremely fun offroad racing game. I just got a MS FF steeing wheel (from Amazon hot deal a couple weeks back), and so I've loaded this game back up and am enjoying it all over again.

I use one with RalliSport, works a fair bit better than the keyboard though it took some getting used to. Don't know about the rest.
 
id definitely say one of the NFS series, probably High Stakes... hot pursuit 2 looks nice but is way too easy.

id like to find a good and addictive F1 game tho, havent played one since nigel mansel's whatchamacallit for the snes...
