Best QUIET solution for noisy NB Fan

I find the nb fan on the MSI Neo4 board to be loud and annoying. What is the best solution to make it stop humming? Zalman Fanmate 2, Vantec CCB-A1C fan, Zalman ZM-NB47J heatsink? I am trying to make this computer quieter and this is easily the loudest fan in my case (followed by my 3dconnect fan on my x800xl).
Thanks for your help.

I disconnected mine months ago. Temp only rose about 3 celcius. I also used a very thin layer of thermal paste, which helped lower temps to almost the same as with the fan connected.

Running my Neo4 SLI with Zalman NB-47j.
Cooled accidentally by Vf700Cu from PCI-E #1
*Clearance could be tight if you have SLI setup

I second that motion. I ran the Zalman on my Gigabyte Ultra 3 board, and now have it on my Aopen Ultra 4 board. Nice product for not much cash. Like all Zalman products, they are well built and come with lots of goodies.

Disconnect fan... = save money, and there is no point in really having it there anyways unless you are a hardcore OCer.

You said best so I'll tell you what I think is the best. There was a long thread about the NB47J and someone posted a picture of a 40mm Coolermaster fan that he put on the side of the Zalman. Anyway, he took that fan from a Coolermaster northbridge chipset cooler. I plan on ordering one myself when newegg comes to Canada very soon (don't know exact date, but I'll be ordering some single device Vantec cables as well).

I thought of placing it by getting some long screws and putting it righ on it instead of beside it. If it works, maybe I'll post a picture so everyone can see.

I'd like to say too that I cannot monitor the chipset temperature but I can see the motherboard temperature. And when I put my fans on max, it takes down the mobo temperature 7'C or 8'C. I think having a case fan on the side helps.

It's a Zalman 80mm low speed fan, and you almost can't hear it, even with the case open. But it does keep the northbridge nice and cool. So this is a silent and cool sollution, what more can you ask for? 😉
