Quietness is the most important, but i dont want anything mega expensive. Well?

I have the fortron 530, so it needs to be a step up

Im not going to buy yet, just on the lookout. Thanks!

Look for something with a 120mm slow-speed fan. Most PSUs with a slow 120mm fan are quiet.

Silent PC Review rates the Seasonics as the quietest PSUs out there. I have Seasonic Super Tornadoes (300, 350 and soon to take delivery of the S12) in my computers including a living-room HTPC. Good quality and very quiet units.

HTH.

Seasonic is awesome, but the most quiet PSUs are water cooled. However, I would make sure to have a water temp monitor and a spare pump around if I ever got one.

Based on a number of reviews, it would seem that the Tagan 480 is the quietest high-output air-cooled ATX power supply on the market. Just do a Google search on "Tagan 480 reviews" and you should come up with several.

I would also have to agree with the posters above that the Seasonics are very quiet.

System specs please...I find it hard to believe you will need to "step up" from a 530W PSU. Unless you are talking about quality.
