So it seems that the two best performance/quiet fans (Yate Loon, Nexus) don't offer versions that have sleeved wires -- please correct me if I'm wrong. So what would be your choice for the best fan that has sleeved fans?

not many fans come with sleeved wires expecially since they are so easy to do on your own. Buy a nexus and sleeve it yourself

I didn't realize you could sleeve your own -- is there a certain kit I should grab? I don't plan on ricing my box or anything. Looking for something that looks good.

Here is a quick guide (With crappy Pics) since I have nothing better to do right now. :)

Here we see the bottom of the connector. You can't really see it in the pic but there are little hooks holding the pins in place, you need to bend them down. Like so. You can use what ever is handy to bend them down, I had some tweezers sitting on my desk so I used that. Push the pins down and pull the wires out one at a time.

Now take your wires and thread them through the sleeving. I didn't have any handy. So I used a straw.

Next you need to bend the hooks back up so the pins won't slip out. Then push the pins back in and your done! Remember, The wires go in Black-Red-Blue/Yellow (The third wire can differ in color depending on who makes it).

You can get pretty much every thing you will need from FrozenCPU.com But I'm sure there are places that have the stuff for cheaper if you look around.

Muchly appreciated Sketch! When I actually get around to building my rig, I'll try to post up some pics.

And if you are just going to be sleeving some fans, don't bother getting one of the kits -- you'll end up with a lot of material that you don't need. 1/8" sleeving works good for single fans.
I get all of my heatshrink tubing from a local store, Altex, but there are better places to get it I'm sure. But the stuff is good quality, so it works for me. I went and bought a few mailing tubes from the Post Office, and cut them down to size so that they would fit in my tool box (I have a tool box for modding). Then put the heat shrink in the mailing tubes, and they are stored perfectly.
I would recommend a heat gun for doing the heat shrink work, as they can be bought for cheap. I bought mine for $20 off of Ebay, and it's wonderful. Harbor Freight has some for like $10, but I had a most horrid experience with their online store, so look around.

Maybe I'm wrong but isn't ricing pretty racist.
