Best "quiet"-er CPU Cooler...Vantec Aeroflow?!

How bout the Swiftech MCX-4000 or an Alpha 8942 heatsink? Both are better than and quieter than the Vantec Aeroflow.

That's if you get a quiet fan... 🙂 I think the Aeroflow is more of a best cooling efficiency/price ratio...

My impression is that the Thermalright AX-7 or SK-7 are better/quieter coolers for the money but you should read some reviews to get the best idea.

Does anybody still sell the AX-7? I was considering getting one to put on my girlfriend's computer when she builds one this summer, but I haven't seen them in a while.

Thermalright also offers Bigger versions of the SK7 if you want to use a larger fan.

Nah, the Swiftech uses the same TMD 70MM fan as the Aeroflow. (38 dbA!!) but, the Swiftech can use 80MM fans and the Aeroflow can't.
Most 80MM fans that push between 30-37 CFMs are below 35 decibels.
BTW, are you using an AMD or Intel CPU garrttu.

Until the AeroFlow's fans are sorted out you can count that out of the picture ,I've been waiting a good few weeks for there to be released but Coolermaster has had to take back all the stock and find out the issues with the fans before they go on sale , also there is supposed to be a larger fan version of the same design so I look forward to that coming out and performing better.

I'd also point out you can get damn good cooling if you spend $$$$, so you also need to ask yourself what you can afford to spend on a hs/f.

Pelikan I currently have a aeroflow on my rig, but it's a little to loud for my taste. I am thinking about getting a cooling setup like yours. What are your system and cpu temps? I'm running at about 47 load at 200 * 10.5 2100+ at 1.675 volts.

I'm at 36C cpu/25Cmb under load thanks to the duct I just put in. Before the duct I was at 42C cpu/26C mb. Vcore=1.725 (1.75 actual).
