Best Quiet 120mm fan

Looking to replace my volcano with a respectable cfm fan that would be much quieter. It will be going on an SP-97 heatsink on my amd 2600 mobile.

The SP 97 only works witha fans up to 92mm.

Also, never trust manufacturers dB(A) ratings! There will never be a 120mm which manages 58cfm at 14 dB(A) at 1m distance (standard way of measuring) just because the airflow makes a lot more noise than that. The only thing that manufacturers dB(A) ratings might be good for is to compare the noise of their fan lines and that's about it.

I bought two 120mm Panaflo M1A fans last month, one for a top blowhole and the other for use as a CPU HSF. Very quiet and high airflow compared with the 80mm Delta I was using. Be aware, Panaflo fans don't have RPM monitoring, although I hear you can get them with it now.

I purchased mine from Frozen CPU. They have a good selection and the order came on time and in good condition.

Check out the specs. The fans are sold untailed so don't forget to order fantails. I use the 4 pin Molex to power supply and I suggest you do the same.

Air Flow 86.5 CFM
Fan Speed 2100 RPM
Power 4.08 W
Bearing Type Hydro Wave Bearing
Fan Size 120x120x38 MM
Noise Level 35 db
Connector Untailed
