Prices have come down below 300.00 for the FX 5900 non ultra.
Anyone know which one has the best value as far as image quality and included games if any?
Thanks,

GM

Ive got the Albatron Geforce FX 5900
and i'm happy with it but i kinda wish i got an ATI 9800 Pro as i think its a faster card

this card makes no noise at all its quiete ass ... 22dbs and it runs cool plus it looks sexy ass .. click on the link for a pick of the card its by far the best non ultra card

overclocked this card scores 6000 in 3Dmark2003 with a 2Ghz Athlon 🙂

I still wish i got an ATI 9800 Pro or even just waited for the new cards to come out from ATI and Nvida and get one of those ... i feel the cards out today are not good enough.

Heres a Review for the card check it out 🙂

I love Gainward, and that is the card I'm looking at. It'll cost more, but can easily do Ultra speeds (almost does them @ stock).

Geforce FX 5900 Non Ultra speeds 400Mhz Core 850Mhz Ram

Geforce FX 5900 Ultra speeds 450Mhz Core 850Mhz Ram

I dont think you will be able to find a Geforce FX 5900 non Ultra that cant do Ultra speeds lol 50Mhz is a joke

i overclock my Albatron FX 5900 to 500Mhz core

But at stock? This means that, overclocked to these speeds, it is still under warranty. And it can go alot farther, obviously.

Go with Leadtek model if you want best image quality, they always make extra improvements to their cards on image quality.

This quote taken from the Leadtek FX5900 Ultra review
Besides the added cooling, Leadtek also uses better AGP bus filters for increased motherboard compatibility (although it should be noted that we?re not aware of any compatibility issues with 5900 Ultra) and overclocking as well as higher quality video filters. This results in cleaner video signals.

MUST agree if it says Leadtek its a winner

pretty sure all 5900's are built by one place though contract with nvidia so it really just depends on warenty and extras in the package.

Nope, can't be. Gainward's cards are clocked higher and often use custom heatsinks...I guess they could ask ahead for better memory, but I dunno...

Your thinking of the 5900 Ultra's .. when they first came out they were all built by nvidia's card partner but now even the Ultra's are starting to be built by the OEM partners like Leadteks Geforce FX 5900 Ultra for example is built by Leadtek

With the Geforce FX 5900 128MB non Ultras ? they have always been built by the OEM partners of Nvida and never by nvidia ?

About Image Quality and performance they are all the same but I would recommend getting either the leadtek card or the Albatron Card as both of these cards come with free games and Vivo

And are the two cheapest FX 5900 cards around ?. Don?t wast your time thinking to hard about this it?s a very simple buy ?. Pick one

The Albatron card has a much larger cooling system on it then the leadtek I don?t like my FX 5900 to run hot ? under that Leadtek cooling system is a small heatsink and that?s it pretty sad cooling !!! for those of you who done know what;s inside. That box its enclosed in
