Best PSU under $35

I have a bunch of parts lying around and I figure I need to put it to some use...

Setup

AMD T-Bird 1.4ghz
Abit KT7A
768MB PC133 RAM
40gig HD
Radeon 9600pro 256mb

I have a case that will work, so that's not an issue.

I have a couple of PSU's in mind, but I want to see what everyone here thinks.

I'm not too terribly up on the PSU lingo and what discerns a good PSU from a bad one other than wattage and amount of amps on the 12V line.

I appreciate the help.

Is it worth the extra $7 to get the 400W version? (+12V/36A)

It's only worth it if you'll keep the psu when you upgrade that computer to much better components in the future.

well if you will be willing to spend more than $35 then i do recommend the 400w version. much more amps on the +5 and 3.3 amp scale.(30/30 v.s. 22/21).
A lot of components still use +5a(cpu, all usb powered devices, some fans) and 3.3v(a little from pci, agp and video cards) and 22a is pretty weak. i had a 240w hipro psu that puts out 25a at +5.

Lemme tell ya, I got a comp for my parents that is almost the EXACT same as that. Tbird 1.33ghz, 512mb PC133, 9600 Pro (was in there at one time), 20GB hard drive, 1 optical, couple case fans, and its been running fine for over a year with a no-name 250 W that has pretty crappy ratings. A 300 W would be PLENTY.

I was able to get an Enermax 431W for $35.00 shipped from the FS/FT and it works great and silent too!
