Hey all. In the coming months I'm going to build a new gaming/overclocking rig with an FX-53 and 6800GT card. I was wondering what the best PSU to buy would be. Is Antec TruePower still the king?

Antec True Power 550 is a solid choice, that should have more than enough power for your rig.

It lacks the bells and whistles tho, no adjustable pots and it's not modular, so there is clutter to deal with.

My antec 550 is powering 2.7ghz a64, 80watt pelt, fx5950, two raptors, 2 cd drives, and another hard drive. No problems whatsoever.

I just got an antec NeoPower 480watt in my system and its probably the best one I've used so far.

If you are intyerested in a Zalman 400watt or Sparkle/Fortron 530watt PSU, I have them for sale in the FS/T forum :)

That why Antec has a True Control w/ adjustable voltage rails.

Antec 550 Watt Power Supply With 2 Fans 5.25 Control Panel, Model "TRUE CONTROL 550W" -RETAIL @ $110 shipped

Modular or not, you still have leads that run to your peripherals. Just be creative on how you route your cables.
