best PS2 video game review site & forum

Since IGN has started charging for their reviews and message board, I have decided to leave. What are some other good non-biased PS2 game reviews and forums?

Both report when new reviews are done (several a day usually). So you can view 20 different reviews if you want to rather than relying on one site.

Gamerankings is great because they take the average of all the reviews a game gets and piles it into one score, very cool. Even has user reviews (ala gamespot).

Sorry I see now that you said PS2, I thought it was PC. Those sites are still good, Gamerankings does consoles as does VE, Blues is a little slower on the console stuff, but has gotten better.

Just wondering why stay away from Gamespot? Unforntley that is the only one I know of beside GameSpy.com, I'll have to check out the 2 you recommened.

Reviews were never anything special. Very ho-hum. Just a very slow paced site.

Probably the biggest collection of "hardcore" gamers on the net. Our reviews aren't always timely (we are a fansite after all), but our forums are great

Gamespy has a lot of affiliates, namely planetps2 . . .. I can't speak for anyone else, but I like gamespy - give it a try.
