Best program for video

I have several LARGE video files that I want to split into smaller segments. I could use Windows Movie Maker, but that takes forever + 1 day! NeroVision works, but for some odd reason the smaller segments come out bigger than the original 🙁 Anything else I can use?

virtualdub is hands down the best freeware program for video editing. If your video file has VBR mp3 files use virtualdubmod instead.

If you're just using it to split video files, make sure you set it to 'direct stream copy' so it doesn't reencode your entire video file.

This is the best thing I was able to find after doing some digging around. Splits large files into = smaller sizes with minimal loss to quality. Thank you 🙂
