Best Program for burning DVD Image file??

So I d/l these movies that are a single image file (.img file). I burned these movies using recordnow and will play in my dvd drive of my computer but 50% won't play in my 2 dvd players connected to my TV, WTF??? I am using TDK DVD-Rs. Does anyone use a program to burn image files with greater success on home players???
