Best product for Analog video to Digital??

What do you all think is the best product out there that will take a video from a VCR tape and convert it to a file. I'm looking for a hardware/software combo product. I was looking at the Pinnacle DV10 Plus but it only does AVI. I'm new to video editing so please help! 🙂

If you have firewire, Sony makes a great little converter box that does firewire to analog and analog to firewire. Doesn't include software though 🙁

I'm looking at the Sony DVMC-DA2 Media Converter. It's a little pricy but the best price I've found is around $286.
