Best Processor?

Please provide suggestions on the best processor to use in a machine that runs fast while Dreamweaver/Photoshop/Illustrator are running.

I'm estimating a speed of around 3.0GHz with 4MB Ram.

right now its Intel core i7 - i7 950 is a good start it runs at 3ghz and has 8mb cache

the i7 950 is the best $200~ CPU for what you're trying to do, but you never specified a price, so get a Intel Xeon X7460

I don't think that DOS supports any of the modern platforms very well, so you might as well just get whatever.

But seriously, budget? The fastest CPU config would be something like a dual-CPU X5680, but that's probably not the best setup for you unless money truly is no object.
