Best Processor for new Thinkpad?

I'm looking at getting a Thinkpad T61, and I noticed that they have two processor upgrade options available around the same price:

Intel® Core? 2 Duo processor T7500 (2.2GHz 800MHz 4MBL2) [add $50.00 $10.00]

OR

It's harder to find reviews on notebook processors, so I'm not sure which processor is the fastest or most efficient of these two choices. I would think that the extra 200MHz of processor speed on the T8300 would trump the extra 1 MB of cache on the T7500 in most cases, but I can't find seem to any reviews to back that up!

Anybody got any links to review sites for me, or any first hand experience with these processors?

The T8300 will be faster, and your deduction is correct- the extra 200mhz will offset and advantaged gained by the extra 1mb of cache (for most cases anyway).

The T8300 will also run cooler and give you more battery life than the T7500. See Anand's article on the new mobile Pernyn chips.
