Best process for swapping Video cards?

Hi All,

I am swapping out my trusty Gainward GF2 Ti500 for a PNY GF3 Ti200. Currently I have the latest Nvidia drivers running my GF2 and I also have the Gainward OC program (Powertools) installed.

What is the best process to swap my card?

Should I delete all drivers and start from scratch?

Should I leave the Nvidia drivers installed and just delete the Gainward programs (PowerTools)?


I will be using "Powerstrip" to OC the PNY.

I would delete all of the drivers and apps that came with your original card. Delete the NVIDIA drivers you installed, and then install them again once the new card has been installed. I would also remove any programs for the card from the company your original card was from.
