Best Printer/Scanner/Copier All-In-One?

I'm going to be buying a All-In-One printer soon but I can't decide which one? I'm currently looking at the following models:

HP PSC 1210
Lexmark X75
Dell A920

Anyone own any of these and if so how are they? I'd like to spend under $200/cdn. Or does anyone recommend another model?

I have the HP 1210, it's pretty good. Small and compact which is great for the dorm room.
However, I don't really recommend the Lexmark printers... and I think that Dell printers are mostly rebadged Lexmarks.
I would however consider the Canon and Epson all-in-ones, but I"m not sure how much they cost in Canada.

Saw the HP V40i at Staples a couple of weeks ago for CDN149.99

Includes stand-alone faxing.

Better than the 1210, imho. Way better than the Lexmark.

If you are looking for an all-in-one I would go with the HP. The lexmark model you are looking at can't make copies independently of the computer. Both the lexmark and Dell will hit your wallet pretty hard with cartridges. The HP refills are only 20.00 bucks for the black and they have the printhead builtin and are good for almost as many pages as the the 33.00 dollar lexmark/dell cartridges.

When it comes to AiO's HP are hands down the bomb.

I have a OfficeJet 7130 and a PSC 750, and I AM VERY PLEASED.

Go with HP if I were you, but I would actually upgrade to the 2110.

The 2110 is consderably faster with copies and prints. It uses a CCD sensor, the 1210 which uses a CIS sensor. The 1210 does a poor job of making copies of bound materials. Anything that doesn't lay completely flat on the scanning surface goes out of focus (blurry). The 2110 uses a CCD which has a lense which bring everything in crystal clear focus. We all know that a book doesn't lay completely flat. Also the 2110 gives MUCH better pictures with the optional 58 photo cartridge.

You should be able to get a good deal @ staples using a 20 or 30 dollar coupon. (for a 2110)

Thanks
Chucko

Nice read on the 2110, I have the hp v40, and I hate it, it was a quick replacement for an hp t45 that went out, and I should have gotten a better unit to replace it.

i agree w/ "chucko" about the 2110 vs. the 1210. i've had them both side by side and the 2110 is much better.
so i'd recommend the 2110 and stay away from lexmark. the x75 won't even do stand alone copying, it has to be hooked up to a computer, and the ink cartridges are expensive and....you get the idea.
oh yeah, dell's are just rebadged lexmarks anyway so keep away from those too.

My mom is wanting one of these. Also I want either one for myself, or just a new separate printer (and new scanner). We both (and my GF) have Epson printers (740 and 820) and they all clog up super easily. I've heard Canon's don't clog like the Epson's do, and print very good quality. The print quality of HP used to not be quite as good, but I haven't checked in a long time. I'm sure they've caught up.
I know Epson's and Canon's are different when it comes to the print heads being built in to the cart, etc. I can't remember the details though. Please fill me in (ink cost, clogging, etc). Printer and all in one, which should i get? Do they have all-in-ones with photo carts?

my dad brought home a few weeks ago a Lexmark X75 which he bought at Eckerd's (the drug store) for like $60 or something, he thought it was a pretty good deal.

The unit itself is pretty nice, their software interface is really easy to use and powerful, but after he bought it I read a few reviews, and one site calculated the cost per page in color and B&W and its pretty expensive, and ive heard Lexmark has expensive cartridges.

And the ability of a walk-up copier doesnt interest me, as the PC is always on anyway, but I guess its important to some people.
The scanner is pretty good too, very clean, and has that character recognition software as well (which I guess a lot of modern scanners have- our other scanner is like a 4 year old Visioneer Paperport)

Another vote for the 2110. Got one for my daughter for college and she beats the $%& out of it for copies, scanning and printing. shop around for some good prices--and HP has a $30 rebate as well.

my girlfriend has a Lexmark all in one. it works well enough, but i personally wouldn't ever buy a non-laser printer cause they are too expensive to upkeep (ink refills) and have unreliable performance.

I am glad to read this thread. I too am in the market for a all in one. My son just got photoshop 7 and our canon F30 broke before we could use photoshop. Canon charges $10 per incident for tech support after one year. Anyone know how HP tech support is? I did purchase the extended warranty through staples for the canon and staples is going to send me a $350 gift card to replace the broken canon. Not sure if some brands work better or worse with photoshop and would be interested in comments. Thanks

My mom bought the X75 and it works pretty well overall, but the ink costs are outrageous. It is also quite difficult to find replacement ink cartridges (non-lexmark). Actually, so far, it has been impossible. After buying a few cartridges, you could have bought the better printer/scanner and spent less overall.

Anyone have any experience with the Epson CX5400?
Looks like a nice multi-purpose, but does not have fax.
