I apoligize if this is the wrong forum for camera questions =)

I've never really used one before, it would mainly be to take pictures of my cat/rigs and stuff around the house. I would like to limit it to camera's dell carries since I can get 35% off. I've read a few reviews which gave some decent information but I'd prefer to read some actual users experiences as well.
