Best price/performance 2.1 speakers

My speakers are old and they are starting to crackle and make random noises. So I will be downgrading in number of speakers, but would still like the sound to be good. Any recommendations?

Those look nice but at that price you can start considering moving into a Receiver+speaker setup that will be much more upgradeable

dunno; I want it to be somewhat affordable as I am not going to be buying a 5.1; This is a downgrade, because I feel that I do not need 5.1 on the pc. Best price/performance; 100-150 would not be too much I suppose

yeah i was going to suggest the z-2300s and promedia 2.1s on that budget like i always do . . .
