What is the best price for this card? Or is there a better card for the price somewhere else? This card is about as expensive as I can go @ $85.
This site might be a good deal, but I can't find the OpenGL version number or the DirectX version number. Is it any good?

Oh, and does anyone have an idea what

>> API Support Microsoft® DirectX®, Open GL ICD® L for Microsoft® Windows®

means?
Is that DX 8.1, OpenGL 1.1, what?

There are some new TI4200's that can be had from eBay for around $50. You may also want to look at 4400's too.

if u add an extra 15 bux or so, you can get a used ati 9600 pro or even better a 9500 pro or nonpro that could possibly be flashed to 9700 pro

any of the options i mentioned will be a better alternative than a gf4 ti series card

I guess all the 9500 NP flash to 9700Pro, but the 9500 Pro DO NOT flash to 9700 Pro.
And try pricewatch.com and pricegrabber.com to find low prices on GF4 TI.

i dont believe ALL the non pro's flash to 9700 pros, only the L shaped memory ones do...

as for the 9500 pros not being able to flash to 9700pro, that is correct

Well, I'm looking. Is the 256 bit worth looking for, or is that what the mod does, increasing the pipelines?
Anyone got one they want to sell me? :frown:

My friend has a ABIT built for oc'ing 4200 (it has a 7200 rpm fan with a heat vent going to the outside, really big, but nice). He can play D3 with moderate details with that and his AMD Athlon 2000+. The 4200's are still decent (BTW, he has the 64mb version!)
