Best Power Supply for ~$50?

Well this is the best "brand" with good Watts I can find in my range:

Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU ATX 12V 2.0 500W Power Supply for $35
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817153052

FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX400-PN ATX12V 400W Power Supply for $44
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817104953

CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX ATX12V V2.2 450W Power Supply for $69
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817139003

What you guys think? Know anything better?

I used: http://www.xtremesystems.org/f...howthread.php?t=108088 to help me a bit...the Thermaltake is "Tier 3" which isn't bad...and better than most of the others at its price range.

My System:

AMD 64 3500+ Venice
1 GB Corsair Value-Pack AMD (512x2 in Dual Channel)
x1950 pro 512 MB
Socket 939 MSI Neo NForce 4 Motherboard with PCI-E 16x slot
10k Raptor 75gb Western Digital HD
7.2k 200gb Seagate HD
7.2k 300gb Seagate HD

$70 AR vs $20 AR. How did you come up with extra $20? Did you look at the OP's rig? Why spend 3.5x the price for power that he will not need?

Should I buy this?

380 is more than adequate for your rig. 250 watts top will all lights flashing.

Actually, X1950 cards aren't among the most efficient. That Raptor is going to suck a lot of juice too. Play it safe with the Corsair 450. The FSP has all but the CPU using a single 18A 12V rail. The Thermaltake simply isn't a very good unit (especially compared to their CWT built stuff) and only has 15A on the rail supplying +12V to everything but the CPU. The Antec is Ok, but may not be able to hold up in the long term. It's a cheaper Seasonic platform (dual layer PCB) and is rated at 40C. Corsair's rated at 50C. If your case temps go up to 45C, your Antec may only be able to put out a continuous 320W.

OP: Best Power Supply for ~$50?

Me: Spend an extra $20 for the best psu per dollar here: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/...p?ProductCode=10006757

Future proofing. Get it?

If he needs future proofing, the VX450 is it. 550 is pointless.

I don't get it, the 550 AR is actually cheaper than the 450 AR...Am I missing something...although the ZZF 550 is out of stock at the moment.....

Edit: I guess I am: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/...p?ProductCode=10006428

But, for $4 more, it's a no brainer to take the 550 IMO.....
