3700+ @ 2805MHz
255 * 11 = 2805MHz
RAM at DDR333 ~ 200MHz at 2-3-2-10 @ 2.9V
HT link at 4x

Board max is 328MHz
CPU max is about 2805MHz @ 1.425ish
RAM max is 240MHz at 2.5-3-3-10 @ 2.9V
RAM max is 225MHz at 2-3-2-10 @ 2.9V

That . . . looks pretty good right there. How much vcore do you need to get 2.8 ghz?

I wouldn't worry about running your RAM at stock speeds, either.

It was running at around 1.425V, which is what my board is volting it to at stock for some reason. I know that's a little high for stock cooling, but I'm getting pretty good temps, so whatever. I did have to raise it to 1.45V to get it Prime95 stable, but at load it still won't go over 41C, which is still lower than my 3GHz Prescott at stock. I'm pretty happy, all in all.

1.45V isn't that much at all. I'd like to see you try for 3.0GHz. With a 3700+ I think that is very doable. Post what you can get with 1.5V, willya?

You really think 1.5V is safe on stock cooling? I mean, my temps are fine, but... So does voltage not matter all that much as long as temps are low?

I think it gets to a point where rapid heating/cooling will make it blow up, but as long as your temps are fine, you should be OK.

My RAM is stable at 2-3-2-6 at 2.8V, and my CPU hasn't blown up since I set it to 1.5V. We'll see how much I can get out of it at 1.5V when I have the time. Most likely not until Thursday or Friday, though. 🙁

take your time 🙂 3ghz shouldnt be a rush job by any standard.

though 2.8ghz is a nice OC already at those volts.
