The place that just let me go wasn't too bad, but I'm not shocked it isn't top 50.

My employer has a 2.1 rating, with a lot of 1.0 reviews and only a couple high ones that bumped it up.

Lots of times, those lists are usually just there to try to promote the company so more people apply....you know, to attract more talent. So, while it can be an accomplishment to be on that list, you kind of have to take it with a grain of salt.

My fiancee's former employer actually "asked" people to vote for their company. She did not bother because she had nothing good to say about the company. The company ended up making it on some of those lists.

Haha, don't forget E&Y is on the list too. I find it funny that KPMG, D&T, E&Y, and PwC always make the top 100 GPTW lists. The groups at those firms that send in the "GPTW package" for evaluation must only include surveys from the admins, partners, and the advisory people who work 40 hours a week. They probably know to eliminate any audit staff's survey from the list. I came from one of those firms to my current company, which is on every one of the top companies to work lists, and have to say that my current company is a complete 180 from any of the Big 4.

Hynix got a 2.8, I wouldnt have given it more than a 2.0.

and that's the problem with user reviews...

However, i did find their salary figures pretty accurate.
