Whenever I go to buy something I think to myself " there has gotta be someplace to get this shit much cheaper, I wish I could figure out where!"

Often times google search results are diluted and the cheapest results don't show up. But I know these places exist and I know a lot of us have specific products that we would only go to one of these cheaper places to get them. I want to know what your favorite sites/stores are.

For instance, if anyone was ever going to buy an HDMI cable, or a tv wall mount I'd tell them without a doubt to go to monoprice.com WAAAY cheaper than anywhere else.

So what are your favorite places to buy (whatever) at much cheaper prices than anywhere else?

If you haven't already, check out slickdeals.net
Not always the best way to find a deal when you need something right away. But if you have the ability to wait around for the best deal you can snag some pretty amazing deals (I think my all-time favorite was when I got 2 dozens roses and 3 boxes of chocolate delivered to my house and I made $1.68 in the process)

Yea I've used slickdeals, fatwallet and gottadeal. I definitely check them out and they are good if I'm not looking for anything in particular. But often times I want something specific and I wish I knew a good place to look for that specific product.

Are these pre-planned or sporadic purchases?

If you already know what you want, search Google + Hot Deals sites + Fry's + MicroCenter + CostCo = win?

A few days ago my wife surprised me with a hot deal, lol.

She knows I've been craving salty spicy nuts for a while.

Grocery store chain A - $3.59 each
Grocery store chain B - $5.00 for 2 <--- I thought we had a winner here

She found it on sale at Ride Aid of all places for around $3.50 BOGO (buy one get one free) while shopping for pantyhose with a coupon.

If you're out shopping locally and have a smartphone, there are apps that let you find the cheapest price on a particular item. Some here.

Online I check Google shopping, mysimon, nexttag, pricegrabber and ebay when looking for a specific item. Hopefully, if I look at enough price search sites, I'll get the lowest price eventually

But you're right in that certain stores/sites are a good place to start looking for specific types of items. I'm not sure I've ever seen monoprice come up at a price comparison site even though it has the best prices on a lot of things - just not the specific model and brand carried by other stores.

For cheap electronics accessories (cases, usb car chargers, international travel chargers, etc) I have never had a bad experience with http://www.bargaincell.com. and I've ordered from them about a dozen times.

Yea Allisolm, for years I never knew about monoprice and when someone told me about it I was like "you gotta be shitting me". The prices are sooo much better than anywhere else.

Some are preplanned, some are sporadic. Mainly I'd just like to get a list of sites together for specific, niche items. Not even necessarily technology related.
