What are some good places on the net to search for a house? Yahoo realestate is the one i tried so far....any others?

MLS (multiple listing service) in your area. This is what real estate brokers use when looking up listings.

I've got a password for one in my neighborhood. 🙂

You can actually see what is up for sale, what is under contract and what has been sold historically.
