The fiance and I are going to Washington D.C very soon, and we will be eating at one restaurant per night for 6 nights... so, I need 6 suggestions of good restaurants in the DC area (around 15th) budget is about $50-$60 per meal at most

anyone help me out?

also, I have a list of stuff we want to see, but I am open to suggestions. So far on the list. Smithsonian, Momunents, and war memorial

There's a Dave & Busters up in Maryland. 😎
Where in DC are you staying? It's a big area with a lot of different places. My suggestion is to get to the hotel and ask what's close to where you are. Traffic can be bad if you roam too far.

Timbuktuis off route 100 for seafood and TBone-z for steaks up near the Columbia MD area good 45 min drive from down in D.C. tho. Don't eat much in the city.

There?s a nice Ethiopian restaurant up here in Silver Spring. There?s an awesome Indian restaurant down in Fairfax. It all depends on what kind of food you want and how far you're willing to go to get it.

What do they serve in Ethiopian restaurants? UN MREs? 😕

EDEN center has some good vietnamese food (I like Viet Bistro)

Morton's i've heard is good
as is Ruth Cris but both are expensive

Vin Kee I like as well for Chinese food

if you want Pho try Pho Tay Ho imo it is the best Pho you can buy at a restaurant

I really like Famous Dave's the price as well the food is great but it is more a family restaurant than fine dining

these places are all in Norther VA

if you want American food America in Union Station is pretty good and inexpensive

I went to some Irish Pub/ Bar around union station and it was not good so i dont recommend that

If you like Indian food, you'll like Ethiopian. The food is really really good at this particular place.

I'd hit up Sam and Harry's steakhouse on 19th street. Ruth's Chris is usually my favorite; however, Sam and Harry's is even better (and more expensive).

As for places to visit, that depends on your interests. I highly recommend the new Smithsonian Air and Space museum next to Dulles airport and the recently remodeled Nation Archives. I would also stop by the new WWII memorial (perhaps on the way to the Lincoln Memorial or Korean War Memorial). Of course, you can't go wrong with some of the classic monuments, but do keep in mind that quite a few are currently closed or off limits, so be sure to get the latest updates from your hotel.

The Capitol and White House are perhaps the best places to visit, but unless you make plans way ahead of time, it is pretty difficult to get in.

Oh, and whatever you do, be sure to take a few fun pictures while you are there 😀
