Best places to buy jewellery?

Find a reputable local jeweler. All too often, the stuff in the department stores is marked way up, then heavily discounted for a sale...so you end up paying about the same as you would at a jewelry store, and don't always get good quality stones. Do a bit of research before you buy, so you don't get screwed trying to be a nice guy...

Edit...just looked at the ones you linked to. Color isn't bad, but the clarity is poor. Try for something in the SI or VS (or VVS if you can afford it) quality range. MUCH nicer looking.

With your budget you really have to see them in person as cheap diamond earrings are often mismatched and cut poorly. If you can find a mom and pop type jewelery store that is your best bet for a good deal on something decent. Otherwise plan to spend several hundred.

I was thinking about bluenile, but was unsure of it's quality. Are they known for quality... nice presentation, etc? Otherwise I might just head to a Swarovski instead.
