I got the Garmin Navi 200.

right now i have it on the windshield right under my rear view mirror. i was thinking center of dashboard.

Whats the best place to put it?

1. Somewhere legal.
2. Within arms-reach.

I think in Cali you're not supposed to have it on the windshield (I could be wrong) but we have it there anyways (right under the mirror like you). If it's convenient where it is, just leave it there.

Didn't even say what kind of car. Nice. Would expect better from a Lifer....put it wherever you prefer.

it matters what kind of car?

not all cars have the same surfaces

Or the same windshields, my Jeep has a flat windshield that is within arms reach so it's just above the dash in the center. Other vehicles have a sloping windshield you couldn't reach unless you crap the seat to the steering wheel. Put it wherever feels natural and don't worry about what we think.

I attached my GPS to a Bracketron Nav-Mat and place it on the very left side of my dash when driving and store it on the floor when not needed.
