I have an HP 5850 Deskjet printer and a Lexmark X7350 all in one. Where can I get some cheaper inks for them? HP and Lexmark's costs are insane. Granted I'm looking for online stores, where I live, there are no B&M shops that would do this sort of thing.

Thank you w00t. I see for me that I'm not saving that much at all going generic vs. name brand. Aw well.

First understand that with both Lexmark and HP---the printhead is on the cartridge itself---so they got you---you must reuse a depleted OEM cartridge to achieve any savings. If you select a commercial refiller---your savings will seldom exceed 50% over OEM with an HP or Lexmark.

The cheapest you can get ink vended to you in the form of OEM cartridges is on the order of $2600 per gallon to choose an arbitrary unit---and most OEM cartridges vend OEM ink for far higher than that---yet top quality refill ink can be had from vendors like MIS and formula labs for about $100.00/gal---and here I am talking an ink specifically blended for a given printer brand---and its very unwise to use an ink not blended for your printer brand---or a generic ink advertised to work in any printer.

But get more information about good inks at the nifty stuff forums or steves digicams. Only those that refill their own---or those who use unchipped Canons can achieve the huge savings to be had.
