best place to preorder X800 XT PE?

Decided not to take the ebay route, now which would be the best place to pre-order one of these cards?

I looked on the ATI site and it said shipping when available, or maybe compusa would be a better place? on compusa they say August 15th as a ship date...

Dunno who would be faster in getting the card out? I assume ATI since they make the cards? lol

Nah checked their resellerratings and heard horror stories from others about them cancelling orders and the delays there hehe...

Are you comfortable in doing a bios flash on your video card? If so, consider this.

has anybody here had an success with doing this method?

I have been trying to get an X800 XT for the last month. The original website I got it from said they were available when I first ordered it, but since then I keep calling them and the story is always "just a few more days."

I got tired of waiting so I cancelled my order. I really want to get rid of my FX 5200 card, but I don't want to compromise for a an X800 Pro or 6800 GT.

Are sapphire cards the only ones that can become XT's?

If his luck is anything like mine, the card he gets will be in the .001 percentile that doesn't work with the flash. Don't do it mon....

Besides, if he looks hard enough and has a little patience, he would be able to find a real XTPE for that same money or less.

You can try HERE. It's 550 bucks but you can preorder it anyhow.
