Best place to order blank DVD media?

I am ordering a DVD burner tonight, and was wondering where I should buy media. I am thinking 30-50 discs should be fine.

I use NewEgg and Meritline. If best buy or staples has a good sale, I'll get them there too.

Second on Meritline. I have also used the Supermediastore in the past, but normally use Meritline. BTW, Fry's carries some Meritline stock such as case inserts and they are cheaper... Go figure.

Tip - Meritline has a FREE app for printing case inserts that works fairly well and is easy to use.

Same here. Over the last 2 years I have racked up so many DVD-R and DVD+R cuz everytime I see a great deal I jump all over it. I currently have about 15 spools of blank DVD media. A waste I think cuz by the time I get even close to halfway in using them I will probably be on Blu-Ray.

I have bought Taiyo Yudens from Rima.com in the past, but i try to get deals locally first, since sales at the big retail stores are pretty much always alot cheaper.

Granted, i work in retail, so i have access to knowing when sales are coming up, & am able to test DVD-/+Rs that we get in to determine who manufactured the discs, but it's still not too hard for even someone who's not on the inside.

Here's a few examples of some deals i jumped on locally in Cdn. dollars:

BenQ 8x DVD-R 100 pk. - $12 :Q (manufactured by Sony )
Maxell 8x DVD-R 100 pk. - $40 (manufactured by Maxell in Japan - extremely high quality rated media)
Fujifilm 8x DVD+R 100 pk. - $32 (manufactured by Taiyo Yuden )

IOW, keep an eyes on those local deals!

BB, CC, OfficeX, Staples... just check your Sunday paper and you will see at least one of them with a good deal. When you see some top rated media, just get a few spindles and keep them for the future. I like to keep 100 at all times just incase there are no sales for a week or 2 (or im too busy to go out).
