Best place to order 1 dozen roses for delivery on valentines day?

Im all new to this online flower delivery for valentines.. so for those of you that have had any experience please let me know where I should order from.

flowers are a waste of money, go a different route get something that lasts.
plus dozen roses are gonna cost you like 30-50 bucks. Probably in the 50's range for fresh long stems.

Last V-Day I got 2 dozen roses for my girlfriend at Wal-Mart for like 12 bucks. They actually looked really really nice, and they lasted over 2 weeks. One thing with Wal-Mart Roses is they haven't bloomed fully yet, so if you buy them about a week ahead of time, they will be fully bloomed by V-Day and look just as good as those $50 from 800-Flowers.

(BTW: Before anyone calls me a cheap b^stard, I'm a poor college kid I can't afford anything but wal-mart stuff )

Edit: I've bought lots of flowers from Wal-Mart for different things, they are always cheap, always look good, and live forever.

try your local flower shop. online stores in my experience generally suck.

I'm not really fond of online flower shops. It's like gambling, you really don't know what's going to happen. You could get some really nice flowers or you could get some awful ones. You are also at the mercy of Fedex/UPS being late and just not showing up that day at all. At the very least, you should mail them to yourself to see if the flowers are any good. Never send them blindly to a recipient or it could be disastrous.

okay Target has a sale (from what i see) for a dozen roses for 20 bucks.. (and damn I paid way more) .. from the 12-14th only.. limited supplies.

I have seen some pretty decent deals so far.. 30 bucks for a dozen.. is quite common.

Costco has cheap roses...different colors for $14.99 a dozen. THey are all the same...I'm not gonna spend $50 to $100 for flowers. I can buy lots of comp stuff for that amount of money.
