Local type places are pretty good. You ought to ask friends and stuff, or mention what city you live in and maybe someone on this board will know of a few places.

local is best, best buy/ circuit city = total rip..... if you live in L.A. by anychance head out to the eastside, you'll find tons of cheap places there. really though, installing a CD player is super easy, with no experience at all I installed my first one a few months ago.

oh i am in naperville/wheaton area

i was thinking something like pepboys or circuit city

bestbuy for 1 seems like a rip off 47 labour + maybe 40-50 parts (on a 119 cd player, hell no)

Depending on what kind of car you have, it might be easy enough to do yourself even if you don't know much about cars.

The most challenging thing is getting to the radio mounts, in some cars this requires removing some of the instrumentation panel.
If you can get that, the rest is hooking wires to other wires that are usually the same color :)

Hell, if you lived anywhere near me I'd do it if you bought me lunch :)

Really? Our local Best Buy's don't charge for labour if you bought the deck from them, only parts. And, since I already had the afermarket deck in my car and did not need the dash kit, I had a new mp3/cd deck installed for $25.00 plus tax last Saturday. Sweet!

Here. Here if your car is listed, it should show you step by step how to do it. Even if your car isn't listed, you can look at the instructions for other cars and still get the basic idea.

That's the spirit! Except, well, the degree doesn't do you much good unless you program a robot to do it for you;):p
