I want to sleeve some cables but the prices i see on places like Newegg seem so bloated. Sure maybe $10 for a kit is right, but placing $5 on it to ship it? I would think there has to be better. On top of that what about round cables? Maybe I could get some round already sleeved cables. And lastly what about round cables with a steel mesh sleeving? I think that would look awsome if theres anything like it? But can anyone help me out with all these questions.

I think the #1 thing i would want is round cables with steel mesh. I dont even know if something like that exists.

Check out the sleeving at: Performance PCs, Frozen CPU, and Jab Tech. Some people also like SVC, but I prefer not to go there...

Sleeving is not a necessatity. I do sleeve my cabling.
I use 3-M brand sleeving and heatshrink from action-electronics.com. It does not come in
kit form only in bulk. In the last 30 years, 3-M is the best heat shrink I've ever used.
I was very disappointed in the cheap sleeving kit that was bought from SVC.

Search the Cases & Cooling Forum for sleeving. Much will come up.

I know its not a necesity galvanized. I just have a bunch of cables in my comp, and i thought some rounded cables with some sleeving to make it look nice would give me some better airflow. Expecially with those terribly bulky ATX cables.

I found some Chrome stuff. You think this is in any way durable? Linky
And what sizes do you really need for your cableing? Can you fit an entire ATX cable in 1/2" sleeving, or would more or less work? More questions but i want to get this right :p

I've made several purchases at SVC & never had a problem. They're a local vendor for me, so I'm in there frequently. My experiences there have always been positive.

My comment was NOT about SVC in general but about the crap sleeving they sell for $10.

OP, sleeving expands to cover a wide range of application. The more it expands, the shorter and more transparent it gets.

Good but cheap shrikable tubing can be had at allelectronics.com. Thet do not sell sleeving AFAIK. I haven't checked recently.

To do a proper job of it, buy a cheap but good heat gun from Harbor Freight. Last week on-line they were $9.95.

Once again search Cases & Cooling for sleeving.
