from the pound or from a local petshop? like a petland or something like that...

i was just wondering, the idea of a lil kitten has me interested and i wasn't sure if animal shelters were better/worse than petshops..

thanks for the advice..
 
Go to your local animal shelter and see if they have any kittens. People sometimes give them litters they don't want.
 
There are always free kittens listed in the newspaper here. I'd try either that or the animal shelter as others have suggested.

Wouldn't recommend going to a pet shop, there are already enough animals without homes.
 
Yep your local animal shelter is the best first stop. If they don't have any (hard to believe) then any local rescue organization. The only reason I put shelters before rescue organizations is that generally the rescue organizations are no kill whereas the animal shelter only grants a small window of time.
