From the sounds of it, people here seem to like to Canon A70. I'm just wondering where I can get one in Canada for the best price.

I'm not really planning on buying right now, just kinda looking around. Maybe a sale will come up or something.

Have someone in the US buy it for cheap from Dell or OfficeMax and ship it to you.

RedFlagDeals.com, a Canadians-only hot deals website, has at least 3 decent digicam offers listed this week. Myself, N8Magic and many other AT Canadians frequently visit and post in their forums as well.

...but yes, nothing beats a friend down south who's willing to cut you in on a Yankee deal or two. :p

I have had bad experiences with things comming from the US.

First time, I had to pay an extra $60 for some reason I dont even remember (probably customs), just to bring in my CD burner that I bought used off of someone.

The second time, I had to pay $40 for customs to bring in an f'cking RMA'd video card.

Maybe I'm just having really bad luck, but I'm really leary about buying anything from down there. I don't feel like getting screwed again.

A certain AT member has in the past shipped me an NewEgg item marked "DEFECTIVE" which slipped it right under the duties radar. :p
