GOING TO COLORADO IN JANUARY OMMMMMMMMMMG.

And then I jizz in my pants.

Edit: I would like to point out that in Colorado or high altitudes, it's going to be powder, not crappy and sloshy snow.

There are no mountains close that you could drive to?

There are no mountains in Texas...or anywhere in the plains states.

There are a few hills but I doubt there is anywhere you'll find snow.

I've lived in West Texas and now live in Austin. Your best bet is New Mexico. There are several ski areas there (Taos, AngelFire, Riudoso, etc). You won't get much snow on the base where the towns are, but when you go into the mountains where the ski resorts are, you'll get into pine forests and snow.

You can go to Colorado, which is better but farther. I would just go to New Mexico if you're driving. Colorado if you're flying.

We had snow in the central valley of California today. Hasn't happened in 40 years.

It didn't touch the ground, but still. 39 degrees at noon.

My girlfriend has never seen snow before. Her birthday is in late January. I live in Austin, Tx and don't know much about how much it snows in other parts of the US. I thought it always snowed north but apparently that isn't true.

Sometime between now and her birthday I'd like to fly her somewhere where she can see snow. We don't need to go to any big or interesting cities. If I can do it on the cheap that would be good.

My cousin works at the Hyatt in Chicago and can get rooms for 20 bucks for family. But I've read it doesn't snow there every year?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

my driveway tomorrow afternoon/evening. Supposed to get 12 inches? And that means I gotta pay the plow man 20 bucks. :(

Of course at 5am when Im in bed and all warm and I hear his truck working on my 1800 sq foot driveway, that 20 bucks is worth it 1000%

Once the ground is covered in the snow belt of western NY, it'll stay covered til spring.

I miss winters out of NYC - sort of. ;)

I remember Feb 12, 2006 very well. Most of the crew had never seen snow in person and that day we had snowball battles and used the pools to store the snow scooped up from the decks!

Sacramento, California.

Some people there have never seen snow either. Global warming, however, now insures everyone has a chance to shovel and learn how to snowboard.
