looking to attend a cubs game on the 4th...most online brokers I see use the same inventory with the same bloated prices, although I've seen a few with their own inventory. Any tips on a good individual or broker to buy tickets from?

Best way is to show up a few hours early and you can check the wrigley field box office for any openings or just buy from one of the many scalpers around there. With the right seller, you can actually get a good deal as the closer it gets to game time the more they want to sell them to recoup as much as they can.

i dont live in the immediate chicago vicinity. EBay is OK, but generally the seats are upper upper upper deck or far corners.

I've thought of that...any other opinions on scalpers? I'm a little nervous about buying a fake ticket, for one thing. And another thing, how soon to show up before the game? Also, is scalping illegal for cubs games?

I'd show up about 2 hrs before the game. I don't know if scalping is illegal for cubs games...you should check with the chicago pd if you're worried about scalping.

Hey what does anyone think of these seats (row five, section 215 terrace box), 2 tickets for $140? It's the cubs vs. cardinals july 4th with kerry wood pitching.

If you walk around there for 2 minutes you'll get 10 offers from scalpers, Addison and Clark streets have the most scalpers. That is going to be a damn expensive game to go to.
To be honest I'm not sure if its legal, but I've bought there before from scalpers and it seems the cops around don't care a ton.
Wrigleyville/Lakeview is a fun area, it has a ton of restaurants if you're looking for food, so don't worry about that.

As for if the tickets are in a good spot, I really have no idea... It seems high in price a little.

The seats are pretty good and if you want a confirmed ticket, its not a bad deal.
