The hard drive on my ThinkPad crapped out, so I'm in need of a new one. Anyone have any recommendations on a good company to get the new drive from?

Thanks,

Try Pricewatch.com . . . then go to Notebook Drives, and pick the size you want. I'm about to order a spare 12 GB drive myself . . . I've done that before with good results.

If you need a supplier with a "rep," . . . try Buycom.com.

I already did that. A place called Global Micro has the exact drive I need, but I've never heard of them before and there's not much infor about them at resellerratings.com. Buy.com doesn't have the drive I need. Anyone have any experience with Global Micro?

Thanks,

also try shopper.com and pricegrabber.com

don't JUST use pricewatch... it's good for some general components, but if you are looking for something more specific, use all three...

when i was looking around for cameras, pricewatch was no help, shopper.com was no help, i used pricegrabber all the way...

and as always, resellerratings is mandatory. (bizrate sucks).
