Searched through some on-line vendors, and can't seem to find much over $20 off retail for a 20GB iPod. Anyone know of any retail stores that offer it for below retail of $399?

Seems for the extra $20 + tax, I should just get it local...

Thanks in advance...

Apple locks the price pretty hard, so unless you grab it off eBay or something, it's best just to buy it either local(save shipping), or from somewhere that doesn't charge tax; you're not going to be able to really get it below MSRP.

Buy it from your local BMW dealer. Buy a ipod for 40,000 and get a M3 free. :)

Really, I saw a comercial for bmw and it now has a dock for ipod in them.

Apple controls the price of the ipods pretty closely. You won't ever find much off the price usually. If you willing to go referbs apple puts the referb units up from time to time at a pretty good discount. They have a 30gb one for 319 for the referb right now. The referbs all come with a full 1 year warranty still and are in very good shape still from most peoples reports. Personally I've had no problems with my 10gb referb i got.

Are you a student?...cause Apple also offers educational discounts which are pretty nice.
