best place to buy games online for release date shipping?

the new CoD, and the WoW expansion are coming out next week, and ive never bought a game online with release date shipping, but im considering it. i know amazon has it, and they claim your game will arrive the actual release date, so im thinking about that, but anyone have any experience or recommendations for any online companies besides amazon for release date shipping?

I ordered the collector's edition of wotlk from amazon and their NOT offering release day shipping on it. Sigh, their projected delivery date for 1 day shipping is the 17th. Wish I realized it before everywhere else went out of stock : ( I have two accounts so at least I'll ave one of them up with wrath on release date (preordered at local store).

Edit: Haha, I just looked at my order and it's been changed to release date. Grr, they made me all pissed up to now, and when I asked them about it they basicly told me I was screwed and would have to wait till the 17th...

Honestly, Steam and Impulse and the like are you best bet.

Gamestop has always been the day after release for me, and I live out in the middle of nowhere. We will see with COD5, as I pre-ordered the Collectors edition this time.

yeah, i moved a few months ago, and im kind of in the middle of nowhere. gonna take about a 30 minute drive to pick it up from a store, so was hoping one of these release date deliveries would be reliable

When you live out in the boonies like us, you just order and hope. Im 30 minutes from a gamestop as well, and 4 hours from any halfway large city. Like I said though, Gamestop was 1 day after release date for the last couple of games I pre-ordered. If memory serves, GRID might of even came on the release date, but I don't remember.

gamestop got me TBC on release day last year, hoping they do the same with Wrath

Glad I live in a city. There are at least 5 stores I can think of in a 1km radius that are usually stocked on release day.

I remember pre-ordering BF2 and I got it the day BEFORE release. I have pre-ordered 3 games from them and they have always come on release day or the day after.
